Requisition Summary

The position of Assistant Distribution Center Manager is one of the most dynamic opportunities at PACCAR Parts. Under the general supervision of the PACCAR Parts PDC Manager, you will have the ability to impact the culture and success of an entire operation, including developing new distribution processes, championing new technologies to drive improvements in safety and ergonomics, productivity and quality. Manage a collaborative team of 40+ employees servicing over 130 Prime Dealers. In addition, you will be working with dealers on creative solutions to increase loyalty and grow sales, and developing future leaders within the PACCAR organization.

LOCATION: Morrow, GA

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Direct all shift warehouse operations in 185,000 square foot facility and assuring the expedient flow of product in/out of the distribution center.
  • Manage a collaborative team of 40+ employees servicing over 130 Prime Dealers.
  • Lead by example with highest degree of integrity, promote teamwork, and effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • Manage within established cost, productivity, quality, inventory control, customer service, and safety metrics.
  • Foster and lead a climate of continuous improvement. Understanding and desire to use data and statistical tools to drive operational improvements; strong focus on metrics and culture of accountability.
  • Perform within approved Operating and Capital budgets.
  • Manage outbound freight logistics to ensure high quality at lowest possible cost.
  • Manage assigned staff, including recruiting and selecting employees, providing training and development, evaluating performance, and building a motivated, effective team to ensure that organizational goals for career development, productivity, performance management and employee involvement are met.
  • Prepare, direct, and coordinate reports and information.
  • Participate in special assignments/projects.
  • Develop a positive relationship with the customer (dealers), maintain market knowledge of PDC region dealers, supply base, and competitor
  • Manage vendor compliance program to assure inbound shipments meet PACCAR requirements
  • Manage all inventory control functions and associates including dealer claims, returns, statistical inventory audits, inventory adjustments etc.
  • Serve as the quality liaison between the Distribution Center and the Division Office
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant business experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership/supervision with PACCAR or other similar business with demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem solving, and change management.
  • Distribution, logistics, manufacturing, quality, supply chain or inventory control experience.
  • Proven communication and management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage technical projects within the distribution environment.
  • Muti-lingual skills highly desirable.
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Training in Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Available for travel periodically.
  • Interest in relocating in future.

Salary Range:

At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $110,600 - $156,310 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
