As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, engineers, program managers, you will participate in the development of our Engines program. We are seeking an analytical, creative, proactive, and forward-thinking Sr Finance Analyst to join our team. This position will drive critical initiatives to improve the quality and timeliness of insights provided to business leadership.

The individual should possess excellent financial acumen and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. In this hands-on position, you will work to increase the speed, efficiency, and automation of our finance operations by supporting the timely delivery and transparency of data to support the company's business decisions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the point of contact with the Program Management Office and the Director of Finance for all business decisions related to development of programs.
  • Maintain the program forecast and provide analysis such as funding profiles, time-phased labor & non-labor expenditure profiles, variance analysis to the annual operating plan, etc.
  • Research, identify, and explain root cause of financial variances to budget and forecast. Performs risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions. Work with program teams to develop recovery plans.
  • Help support program teams and provide oversight of estimates at completion (EACs) at the WBS element and program level.
  • Creation of content and ability to present data to support program, financial and operations reviews.
  • Validate purchase orders are within the forecast and billed to the correct accounts.
  • Provide guidance and mentor staff member both in their professional development and as required to align with stated deadlines and ensure appropriate actions are implemented in relation to business function forecast.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or other highly analytical field
  • Min 8 years of financial and business analytics experience, to include partnering with senior program leaders to prepare monthly forecasts, AOPs, and multi-year strategic plans.
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills and demonstrating success influencing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver results.
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel/Intermediate SQL
  • Highly skilled collaborator and influencer capable of interacting with multiple business partners and collaborators.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with development programs moving into a production environment
  • MBA, or Master's Degree in Finance
  • Experience with Deltek, COBRA, or other cost/schedule integration tools

Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $125,22-$175,318
